Clausell Percussion Academy is focused on providing musical instruction for percussion, especially in the area of drum line. The goal of the Academy is to change lives through the art of drumming one note at a time. We intend to do this by providing both instruction and mentorship to motivated and capable urban youths while providing constructive extracurricular activities that could result in additional scholarship opportunities for college. We also would like to encourage talented youths to become professional musicians, as well as music instructors. We also believe that by providing the students of the academy with opportunities for creative performance and recognition as positive leaders within their own communities of origin, they will strive to become leaders of positive change wherever their craft will take them in the world.
